Award-winning journalist Caren Kibbett has been unveiled as Shiksha Arora’s replacement on Easy Friday – a Prime Time show on Kenya Broadcasting Corporation (KBC).
Kibbett, a sports reporter with the station, has been paired with John Kago, who has been riding solo since the exit of Shiksha Arora.
An excited Kibbett shared the good news via her socials – thanking the KBC management for the promotion. Her promotion comes after 7 years
“After 7 incredible years of bringing you all things sports, I’m stepping into a new chapter, with the same energy you know and love! Starting tonight, I’ll be anchoring the Easy Friday Bulletin from start to finish. Grateful to my amazing bosses for trusting me with this opportunity,” she said.
She however assured her fans that she will still be anchoring sports news from Monday to Thursday before taking over Easy Friday.
“Don’t worry, Sports fans, I’ve still got you covered every Monday to Friday, but Fridays just got a whole lot more interesting! Tune in tonight, at 9pm for my main news debut… Who said we can’t have a little fun while delivering the headlines 😂? Let’s make this Friday, and all the ones going forward, ones to remember ❤️,” Kibbett added.

Arora joined the conversation by congratulating Kibbett on her new role.

After her debut on Easy Friday, Kibbett thanked her viewers for the positive feedback. She also appreciated her co-host John Kago for making her feel comfortable on the show.
