Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho aka 001 praised singer Ali Kiba for releasing the kind of music that is long lasting revealing that that is the kind of music he enjoys.
Joho described AliKiba as a consistent artiste.
"Music is about context and consistency. For me, I enjoy music that has a longer shelf life and AliKiba is my long-time friend as you all know, and helpful and useful in nurturing upcoming musicians in the country."
"It is not about music but about creative economy and we leaders need to find the importance in supporting this industry"
Asked why he feels the need to support creatives, he said;
"The point is I believe no country that can do this on its own."
AliKiba launched his 3rd studio album 'Only One King' this last week. The event was attended by the who-is-who in the entertainment industry.
The Nairobi listening party came a day after he had launched the album in Dar Es Salaam , Tanzania.
