The third annual Unkut Hennessy HipHop Awards were held at the Sarit Expo Centre last night.
The Awards aim to recognize players in the HipHop music community in Kenya. Both old and new generations artists were recognized for the different roles they have played in the last one year.
Among those awarded were pioneer rapper Nazizi who scooped the Lifetime Achievement of the Year Award, Silverstone Bars for Best Female Artist of the Year and Mixtape of the Year, Trio Mio for Breakthrough Artist of the Year, Swaziland Papi for Alternative Artist of the Year, Jump Off on Homeboyz Radio for Best Radio show of the Year, Boutros for Uncut Video of the Year, Juliani for Changemaker of the Year and Vince on the Beat for Producer of the Year.
