We are moving closer to the much anticipated Sauti Sol's Midnight Train album launch. The live performance will take place on August 22th

Ahead of the D-day, Sauti Sol members were hosted by Homeboyz presenter G-Money.

Savara spoke in depth of how much pressure they are facing now given the love they are receiving from millions of fans across the globe.

“For you to be able to get to the stage where you release music, you go through a lot of anxiety. You try to look for perceptions. By the time an artiste gives out a piece of their heart in the art it is always a massive thing. Savara said.

He added,

“This album has been recorded for years some songs have been pre recorded. We have gone through ups and downs with this album and the best thing is that now we are signed to a label, Universal Music Africa.”

According to Savara, the Midnight Train album is the pop band's way of saying Sauti Sol is going global.

He acknowledges the fact that long gone are the days they were only representing East Africa.

'We are no longer only representing East Africa or Kenyans only or Nairobians we are representing Africa on a global scale. Recording the album was an amazing journey and we are happy with the product.”

On his part, Bien spoke on the importance of the group to stick together now more than ever.

He spoke about how many years they have taken to build the global brand and the need to keep pushing even further.

I think being the best band in Africa is a pretty low bar as their aren’t any others to begin with. The bare minimum is that we stay together. It has taken us a lot of years of growth and understanding each to become the best group over the years.

Adding, to further grow they brand they have considered various strategies like "are we pushing ourselves to learn new instruments. Are we dancing? We have really rededicated ourselves to our craft?"

At the Midnight Train experience, fans will journey through songs like My Everything, Feel My Love and Disco Matanga (Yambakhana).

While cognisant that the world is facing a pandemic, Sauti Sol hopes to remind everyone that we are in this together and there will be Brighter Days.

All aboard Sauti Sol’s Midnight Train on 22 August 2020!
