Tanzanian singer Diamond Platnumz received applause from Tanzanian Members of Parliament when he attended a sitting in Dodoma.

Dr. Tulia Ackson, Speaker of the National Assembly of Tanzania, introduced the WCB CEO to the house.

"Diamond, you will stand until honorable Members of Parliament stop clapping," Dr Ackson told the singer

This happened before he attended an Iftar in Dodoma.

The singer took to social media to show his appreciation;

"Ni Heshima kubwa, Taasisi ya Wasafi kujumuika na Bunge letu tukufu katika ibada na iftar leo." (It is an honour for Wasafi to join the parliament in Iftar)

Diamond was accompanied by WCB signee Mbosso , Lava Lava and Queen Darleen.

He was also accompanied by his sister Esma Khan and step-dad Uncle Shante.

In 2018, Kenyan star Esther Akoth popularly known as Akothee visited Parliament but entered the premises skimpily dressed that she was handed a leso.

She was invited by honorable David Sankok.

According to Parliament.go.ke, visitors are directed to Speaker's row, Speaker's gallery or the public gallery depending on the nature of the invitation.
