Singer Akothee has asked people to maintain the good terms with the in-laws even after they part ways with each other.
On Friday Akothee attended the burial of her former father-in-law Evans Otieno. He is the father to Akothee's baby daddy Jared Okello Otieno.
Akothee was accompanied by her two daughters, Vesha and Rue Baby.
In her tribute, Akothee advised;
"Any woman who was once married in a family and has kids from that family ,you are in that family for a course, bring unity and not division, love and not hate."
"Embrace the new family God has given you . Family is created by God , relationship is built by God ,and friendship is made by human beings Meet my bereaved families"
Akothee added that her mother loves her ex-husband and still considers him as her son-in-law.
The 'Give It To Me' hitmaker also penned a message for the family;
"Your lose is our lose ,I could not let you do this alone ,you know where we have come from You are my personal person and my best friend . The weight on your shoulder Is heavy ,but from the man of God That I know you shall pull through Jakwath .May God give you strength , patience and comfort wuon Nyithindo . We love you my darling"
