Although Khanyi Mbau has been a well known celebrity in Southern Africa, she first made headlines in East Africa when she starred in the reality show Young, Famous and African.

She starred in the reality series together with Zari Hassan and Diamond Platnumz. It is her unpredictable relationship with Zari that got fans talking.

Well, Khanyi is now set to take centre stage in a global first – she is set to feature in the first Comedy Central Roast of an African female.

The South African socialite will sit fearlessly atop the Roast throne, while comedians and other African personalities sharpen their claws.

Khanyi Mbau sees this as the perfect extension of all she has brought to the entertainment industry over her career.

"Who else but me? The first African female to be roasted by Comedy Central was only ever going to be me, even your favs could NEVER," Khanyi Mbau said

"You’ve said what you said, now say it to my face. “

Khanyi Mbau steamed up Showmax screens this year as Zandile in The Wife S2, which broke records and topped Twitter.
