Obinna and Kamene have reacted to a politician who was arrested after she was spotted wearing police officer uniforms in a TV interview.

Monicah Gitau, Usawa Kwa Wote woman representative for Nairobi County was arrested and taken to Kilimani Police station minutes after the interview for impersonating the police and possession of a police uniform.

According to reports, Gitau retired in 2011 from Administration Police Service.

Commenting on the issue, Kilimani police boss Muturi Mbogo said;

“She said she retired long ago but can’t explain why she is in official uniform,” he said.

Reacting to the news, Obinna said;

"She was all sagged up. Luku ni safi, Luku ni moto. She was a police officer about a decade ago. She is behind bars and will be going to the court today for impersonation. Let her represent women police."

Kenyans with a long memory will remember that back in 2015, Joshua Waiganjo was famously accused of masquerading as an assistant commissioner of police since 2012.

He was allegedly deployed in the Nakuru Anti-Stock Theft Unit Headquarters at Gilgil.

Waiganjo was said to have flown in police helicopters and was chauffeured around in the service’s vehicles.

He disciplined junior officers, engineered transfers, arrested suspected offenders,  led police operations and even inspected guards of honour in full uniform with the insignia of an assistant commissioner of police.

During his trial, the court was told that Joshua had close ties with high-ranking officers.

He even attended a security meeting on an operation that led to the killing of officers in Baragoi, Mboni East.

The court was also told that Waiganjo was also close to former police commissioner Mathew Iteere.

So close that he was even able to get a police car delivered to Njoro division at his request.

Waiganjo was even able to make a transfer request for an officer to Suani police post from Njoro and it was done immediately.

After he was tried, he was convicted on five counts and sentenced to serve five years in prison.
