Precision Air that crashed into Lake Victoria on Sunday morning

Precision Air, a Tanzanian airplane that plunged into Lake Victoria on Sunday morning has started being pulled to the shores of the lake.

A video by Millard Ayo shows rescue teams together with residents of Bukoba pulling the airplane to the shore.

Reports indicate that out of the 43 people onboard, 26 people have already been rescued.

The plane had left Dar es Salaam heading to Bukoba through Mwanza.

The plane plunged into Lake Victoria as it attempted to land at Bukoba airport.

In a statement, Precision Air reported the accident "Precision Air flight no. 494, flying from Dar es Salaam to Bukoba, was involved in an accident as it was approaching Bukoba Airport."
