A representative of SoFire Fiesta has responded to Stevo Simple Boy's complaint of not being paid to perform at a Mombasa show.
Addressing the issue at a press conference, the rep confirmed that Stevo didn't perform and that she was not in charge of paying Kenyan artistes.
"Stevo didn't perform, he was given a chance but his management was not cooperating. There were other artistes as well apart from Stevo and no one is complaining. Saying Stevo was not paid by Sofire limited is wrong, I was not in charge of paying Kenyan artistes, I want to make this clear."
She added that she was in charge of paying big artiste like Ruger.
"I was in charge of paying big artistes which is Ruger. I was in charge of paying Tanzanian artistes and are all satisfied. The things I was in charge of are clear, so I didn't have any contract with Stevo. Even though I gave them an offer, I said there was no problem that he would perform and pay him after the performance. They came to me on stage and I had no wallet no nothing."
