Tanzanian singer Marioo is insinuating that Diamond Platnumz lied in an interview about signing him.
Diamond told Wasafi Media that Marioo had come to ask to be signed under WCB, which Diamond declined.
"Before he released the song Beer Tamu, he came to my house and asked that I sign him. I told him that he was doing well and had opportunities. If I signed him, I wouldn't do justice to him. I told him that he already is doing well," he explained.
Responding to fans who asked whether Marioo had gone to beg to be signed despite doing well in the music industry, the singer denied ever having that conversation with Diamond.
"Hamna kitu kama hicho jomba, (Nothing like that bro)" said Marioo
Marioo is known for his hit song 'Mi Amor' which he featured songstress Jovial among others.
