Joseph Irungu aka Jowie was found guilty of the murder of Monicah Kimani. The second accused, Jacque Maribe was acquitted.

In a past interview with Tuko, Jowie said he wouldn't want even the worst person on earth to spend a day in prison.

"The people in the prison, pray for them. Even as you go to visit them, don't go with sympathy or pity because they are the most hopeful people in the world."

Asked if he was scared to go back to jail, Jowie said in the past interview that;

"If its for the glory of God, let it be."

On Friday,  Justice Grace Nzioka cancelled Irungu's bond after his conviction.

"I am cancelling your bond. You will be held in custody until the 8th of March," Justice Nzioka said.

The Court ruled that Jowie murdered Monica Kimani.

"All this evidence taken leaves a strong conclusion that Irungu murdered Monica Kimani," Nzioka said.
