Marathoner Benson Kipruto has finished third at the Paris Olympics marathon bagging a bronze medal with a time of 2:07:00.
He was behind Ethiopia's Tamirat Tola (2:06:26) who finished first and Belgium's Bashir Abdi at second place with a time of 2: 06: 47.
Eliud Kipchoge on the other hand was said to have pulled out of the race as he was not seen after the 35Km mark.
Benson Kipruto has a great record. He won the 2021 Boston Marathon, the 2022 Chicago Marathon and the 2024 Tokyo Marathon.
Kipruto finished third at both the 2022 and 2023 Boston Marathon with times of 2:07:27 and 2:06:06 respectively. In 2023, he finished second in the 2023 Chicago Marathon.
