We were worried about him and his music seeing as he has taken some time in releasing projects. He was the Diamond Platnumz of 2015 when he was just releasing hit song after song.
On the 28th of June 2019, he decided to surprise us with a studio album, Indigo by RCA Records. The album is on its way to number one on the Billboard 200. Indigo is his ninth studio album.
In just week one, circulation is between 110,000 to 135,0000 copies, 40,000 to 50,000 of which are pure sales, the project has clearly benefitted from its bloated running time.
He is clearly peoples favorite because this will be his third album topping the charts.
Indigo features 32 tracks, with appearances from Justin Bieber, Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne, and Drake, who guests on the top 10 single “No Guidance.”
Among the 32, he received a lot of backlash from the song, Need A Stack. In his rap, he says,
Only wanna sleep with the black b*tches with the nice hair
His black female fans are not happy with that line and they took their grievances to social media. Chris was not sorry. In fact, he justified it saying that the same women would not sleep with a man who has bad teeth.
Y'all trippin trippin. Y'all b*tches don't wanna f*ck da n***a with f*cked up teeth do you??? Only b*tches upset is the uglies (not the black queens).
The song has already scooped more than 600,000 views on YouTube with just audio.
Now he is encouraging his fans to buy more copies of the album.
