Njugush is one of comedians who are doing good in the field of comedy. He made his name on the reality Tv show Real Househelps of Kawangware and Hapa Kule News. However, for him to reach where he is it was not simple and he has a story to tell behind it.

During an interview with Shaffie Weru and Adelle Onyango on the breakfast with the stars show, Njugush talked about his journey and where he started it.

" My mum used to have church acting and doing drama and so they wanted to have a toi (child) na hakuna mtoto alikuwa anataka" Njugush said. " So i stepped on stage but that was the first time i got reception from the adult people because tukiwa wadogo haukuwa unaongea mbele ya watu wazima." He added.

After acting in church, he then had courage to continue all the way to primary school though he never had a chance to act in high school as students burned down the institution due to indiscipline during the music festivals. After high school Njugush joined the Kenya National Theatre, where he acted for one year but was paid peanuts.

He then joined Kenya School of Mass Communication to do journalism where he again joined drama and later after graduating he started acting in Hapa Kule News. After being exposed to the acting industry, he got an opportunity to join  the TV series Househelps of Kawangware for two years.

"Our script writer Abel Mutua left and he mentored me from all the way back.... so I had to leave." Njugush said.

Njugush is currently a writer for Hullabalu show on Maisha Magic East and has a plan of starting his own show early next year.

He also speaks about how Lupita Nyongo praised him and spoke about his acting on the TV reality show, and that he has framed her comments about him.

Adelle wanted to know if his wife cracks up when he tells her his jokes. His answer: 'No, she doesn't find me funny at all'.
