Wyre The Love Child is one man who captures the hearts of women and of course, Reggae fans.

He dropped by the Kiss FM studios on Breakfast With The Stars and just when he walked into the offices, a lady informed Adelle and Shaffie that wine has arrived. The two looked at the lady wondering, who is wine? Now Adelle thinks Wyre should change his name to wine.

This is after Wyre explained that he has been missing in the music game and Kenya at large because he has been traveling a lot trying to rebrand.

i've been traveling and trying to rebrand working on new content and you can tell from my latest release which was a week ago

He explained saying that he wants to rebrand his sound.

rebrand in terms of sound. i prefer being a trend setter. i felt i was burning out creatively

Wyre has been in the music game for 23 years. In those years, the one moment that makes him happy now but was such an embarrassing moment were two hilarious experiences.

i got too close to the crowd and there two fans who were too excited and decided they are going to grab my trousers. if it wasn't for security, it would have been a distaster

The second experience he said:

I was performing with ian at miss tourism and the stage was covered with a carpet. the edge was lifted and i was doing one of my signature moves and it backfired, but ian came through and did the same so it looked like it was planned

Wyre made the conscious decision to join music right after seeing Micheal Jackson on stage.

when he saw Micheal Jackson on stage and thought that's where he needs to be

But he also credits his love for music to his musical background. His uncle was a Mugithi bigwig and one shocking reveal exclusively on Breakfast With The Stars is that he is MDQ's cousin. So it is a family full of musicians.

So how has Wyre managed to stay in the music game for 23 years?

study your consumers, they keep changing because 23 years ago, I wasn't doing this music. you always need to figure out how to be relevant to the new generation as it evolves a lot

So having understood his new musical side, he went looking The Supremacy Riddim that he desperately wanted to voice. His hard work paid off.

i recorded the song last year. i loved the supremacy riddim instrumental and when i was on tour in Germany, I met the producer of the riddim through a promoter friend of mine. I asked for permission to use his instrumental, voiced it, sent it and the producer loved and it is out now

Wyre respects the art and he said asking for permission is ethical.

it's important to look for a producer because it is intellectual property and that it's wrong to steal it

The new song, Wanilinda, is just Wyre thanking God and fans are asking, has he decided to jump on the gospel train?

fans questioning if he has gone

gospel but just but on pen and paper my feelings

He says so far the response is great with 47,000 views already.
