IEBC Vice-Chair Person Juliana Whonge Cherera has given the reasons why she and 3 other commissioners distanced themselves from the Presidential Results announced yesterday.

According to Cherera

1. The aggregation of the results of the 4 candidates on the ballot are mathematical absurdity that beat logic.

Raila 48.85

William Ruto 50.49

Mwaure 0.27

George Wajackoya 0.44

The aggregate is 100.01.

According to Chelela the 0.01% translates to 142 votes which will make a significance difference in the final results.

The aggregation exceeded the percentage of 100 which cast doubt on the accuracy of the figures tallied.

When we demanded we verify the records he declined and overruled the commissioners and allegedly  insisted in declaring the said results.

2. The results of  registered voters, votes casts or  rejected votes if any.

The results lacked the total numbers of votes cast to support the votes each candidate got.

Mr Chebukati claimed that Raila got 25% of the votes in 34 counties while Ruto got 25% in 39 counties.

The question is which figures constituted the independent variable to warrant the candidates such figures.

We concluded that process that went to create  the Form 34 C was opaque and incapable of earning our confidence.

3. Results from certain constituencies had not been announced.

Cherera says like the public the Commissioners were also in the dark

"The commissioners were not aware of the cumulative results 2 days to the D-Day. We were in the dark just like the public."
