Nigerian global superstar, Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun popularly known by his stage name Wizkid currently has the internet going crazy.
The reason? An automobile dealer identified as @moaglobalservices revealed that the 32-year-old had acquired seven luxurious multi-million cars in one day.
The singer, songwriter, and performer has spent the past few months working tirelessly on his upcoming More Love, Less Ego (MLLE) project.
It seems that he wanted to reward himself now that the album is almost ready for release
It seems the 'Essence' hit-maker decided to spoil himself a bit with a garage filled with new cars worth several million dollars.
The automobile dealer shop took to Instagram to share Wizkid’s recent purchases with the star seeming to confirm the reports by liking the posts.
According to a motor dealership, Wizkid on the 7th of September 2022, purchased a Royce Rolls Black Badge, a Lamborghini Aventador, and a Mercedes-Benz Maybach from the company.
A Royce Rolls Black Badge, approximately goes for 57 million Kenyan shillings while a Lamborghini Aventador, is averaged at around 48 million Kenyan shillings and lastly the Mercedes-Benz Maybach is estimated to cost around 48 million shillings.
The company stated that the singer had made it known that he intended to purchase four more cars to add to his recent collections.
Sharing individual pictures of the luxury rides, the automobile dealer made sure to make a reference to Wizkid in the captions.
The news comes a week after WizKid's album, ' Made in Lagos' became the first African album to ever be certified Gold in the USA. Meaning he sold over 500 thousand copies of his album in the States.
To top it all off, his hit-song 'Essence' which has over 102 million views on YouTube also hit the roof becoming the first African song to be certified 2x Platinum and Platinum in the US as well.
American rapper Kanye West took to his Instagram to acknowledge Wizkid noting that his son 'Essence' featuring Tems is the best song ever made in history.
However, Davido’s fans seem to be displeased with the news as they took to their socials to mock Wizkid for trying to copy their favourite.
29-year-old Davido had revealed plans to acquire three new houses, five more cars and a jet in 2022.
In an Instagram post, Davido wrote, “Na, so we go flog them for 2022, three new houses, five more cars, another jet,”
He'd just added a new Lamborghini Aventador to his collection of cars a few weeks after gifting himself a Rolls Royce Cullinan for his birthday in November 2021.
