Dear Kenyans, Lillian Ng'ang'a made her choice, let's leave her alone now

The couple have faced some serious attacks online in the month of September

It seems that it has become sport to attack Lillian Ng'ang'a and her husband Juliani among some very persistent Kenyans online.

A section of Kenyans online have made it their business to attack Lillian and her husband Julius Owino alias Juliani and its totally wrong.

The main way that Kenyans attack the couple is them saying that Lillian made a catastrophic blunder leaving former Machakos governor and current Foreign Affairs CS nominee, Alfred Mutua.

The idea is that Alfred was the better bet as he was better financially and that Lillian's musician husband wasn't as well-heeled.

The criticism has made the couple trend the last few weeks with Juliani and Lillian having to speak out on what amounts to cyberbullying.

Last week, Juliani and Lillian trended again. The reason for that? Alfred Mutua's nomination as the new Foreign Affairs minister.

And the same points were rehashed with some finger-wagging being thrown at Lillian for not being with Alfred anymore.

It got so bad, that a certain Twitter user called Wambo had to defend the couple telling Kenyans online that money wasn't the be-all and end-all for all women.

"Majamaa's are tweeting here eti Lillian left Mutua now the CS FA for Juliani a hustler. Who told you all women are looking for is men with money? You don't know how much some of us would prefer a mjengo guy who treats us well and feel good around them kuliko those monied cold men."

Her brilliant comment divided Kenyans in the comment section with many debating the merits of her argument.

Some said that women always date up (finances, height, influence, strength, etc...) and want a man who they can look up to.

Others reasoned that not all women wanted that rich man and would prefer a man who would give them peace of mind and sanity because many wealthy wababaz come with too many strings attached.

This brings me to the crux of the matter, it seems that some people want to settle their inner demons using the couple as their punching bag/rallying cry.

The conversation has moved from being educative to being a lesson in malice and just plain malevolent.

Yes, they are public figures, but it seems that there are people who enjoy the spectacle of ridiculing the couple.

Can't we all agree that the points and counterpoints have been made and heard?

Let the defense and prosecution now rest and let the couple be.

They seem happy, they have a kid, and each seems to be the 'right' person for the other.

Guys, just let them BE.
