Eric Omondi isn't a happy man at the moment. The cause of his concern? That Jamaican musician Ruger will be performing in Meru Town over the weekend.

The comedian posted his rant on Instagram where he stated that it was shocking that a big Nigerian star was performing in an 'interior rural town'.

"Can you Imagine a Kenyan Artist performing in an interior rural town in Nigeria??? Yaani sasa wana perform mpaka ushago kwetu," he started.

He went on to to complain that this fact meant that Naija music had completely dominated our music industry.

"They have conquered entirely. Na sisi bado tuta Curtain raise tu. Soon utaskia Konshens live in Budalangi."

He ended his message by stating that he his issue will end up in parliament, something that he has already done in the past with a demonstration he orchestrated.

His rant comes a week after he and Bien had a serious exchange over the fact that the Sauti Sol member was the only Kenyan musician with 2 songs on Apple top 100 in Kenya.

"Let me explain to you why Bien is the only Kenyan on this list," Omondi said in part.

The funnyman attributed Bein’s success to what he termed as 'showbiz'.

“He understands showbiz and he knows what the people want but he doesn't want others to get to where he is and that's why he fights my course so bitterly and passionately," he said.

He continued by accusing Bien of being self-centered in his trade by refusing to divulge the formula for his success.

However, in a quick rejoinder, the Sauti Sol member dismissed Omondi’s claims.

“You’re an idiot. Honestly, what are you even saying? 95% of the artists on that list are not doing gimmicks. They’re simply putting out songs. Show me a gimmick in my life."

But the tall Sauti Sol wasn't having any of it saying that he had always worked hard to be where he is right now.

“I have only always made music. You’ve pushed this agenda for too long."

Adding that it was the policies of  a country that would help the entertainment industry flourish.

"Policy! Policy! Policy!  Nigeria the other day said no foreign models in their adverts. Those are the things that make them prosper!

When systems are made right everybody wins. Stop embarrassing yourself by looking for likes in the name of showbiz!!!!!” Bein retorted.

Either way Eric does have a point. There is a big industry problem when Nigerian artistes are the biggest thing in every form of entertainment. How to fix it? That's the rub...
