Kenyans facing hunger owing to food deficits has been an issue on the minds of many KOT this past weekend.
Tv presenter Mashirima Kapombe has been doing the rounds in drought stricken areas in Kenya, covering what's happening on the ground.
Her latest feature on the dire situation in sections of the country touched hearts.
Mashirima shared details about drought in Coastal regions sharing a heart-breaking picture of a starving boy.
"It's world food Day but there is little to celebrate for 4.35m Kenyans affected by drought across the country."
Mashirima told a concerned citizen how she shed tears when cradling the boy who appears to be enjoying being held. She advised Kenyans on how to help saying;
"Thank you for watching #Tearsofhunger It is only through collective effort that thousands like Moses and Kadzo can get food aid.Not just in Kilifi but in the other 28 counties affected. Those who want to assist the families highlighted in the story @WorldVisionKE will connect you."
