Former US President Barack Obama was over the weekend campaigning in Detroit, Michigan.
During an address, Obama was interrupted multiple times by a woman attempting to get his attention.
The woman had been trying to get Obama to hear her "You fine as [expletive]." compliment.
Obama was telling voters that he is now graying and getting older.
“I have to admit that sometimes going out on the campaign trail feels a little harder than it used to,” the 44th president admitted to the crowd adding “Not just because I’m older and grayer…”
The woman disagreed with his self critique and gladly told him that he is as fine as ever.
She shouted "you are finer than a mug" eliciting laughter and cheers.
Amused by the comment, Obama, 61, flashed a huge grin on his face as he turned around and asked the woman to repeat what she said.
He later responded by joking "I'm not gonna tell Michelle [Obama] you said that." he said, referring to the former first lady.
After a slight pause he added, "Although Michelle does agree, she knows."
Throughout his term, Mr Obama was regularly complimented on his good looks and so perhaps for this voter, the self critique needed a compliment to boost him.
Before his retirement, former President Uhuru Kenyatta also stopped mid speech in Nakuru to accept a compliment.
He was opening the Nakuru Railway station back in July. A woman yelled who was in the crowd shouted, “We love you”.
In his response President Uhuru said “I love you too”, leaving the crowd in stitches.
The president himself was left blushing and giggling after sending love back to the woman.
Azimio leader Raila Odinga has also experienced the same back in the August 2022 campaigns.
Raila was in Kiambu when a women yelled 'I love you'. He replied 'Ahsante I love you too".
