It's that week for Spotify wrap and as netizens all over excitedly share their Spotify lists, the app released its list from most popular artists to songs as well.

And believe it or not, once again Canadian-born musical genius Drake is topping the list.

According to the music streaming platform, the "God's Plan" hitmaker is the most listened-to artist in Kenya.

Spotify released its Top 10 Most Streamed Artists in Kenya list, and Drake was still holding the number one spot after topping the list again last year.

Coming in hot after Drake was Nigerian singer Burna Boy, (who ironically is the only African artist in the top five most streamed artists) followed by Chris Brown at number 3 then The Weeknd, and closing the top five list was the "netizens king of toxicity" Future.

All five released albums in 2022, which was attributed as a likely factor for their high streams in the country.

Drake dropped two albums this year alone, 'Her Loss' (with American rapper 21 Savage) and 'Honestly, Nevermind'

While Burna Boy released 'Love, Damini', Chris Bown 'Breezy', The Weeknd 'Dawn FM' and Future released 'I Never Liked You.

The other stars in the Top 10 list are American rappers Lil Baby and Gunna, Nigerian star Fireboy DML, Kendrick Lamar, and Justin Bieber.

In the Kenyan artistes category, the Afropop boy band Sauti Sol was the most listened to by Kenyans, followed by Wakadinali, Buruklyn Boyz, Otile Brown, and Nyashinski.

Nviiri the Storyteller, Bensoul, Bien, Ajay, and Khaligraph Jones closed the Top 10.

Wrapped (introduced in 2016) is Spotify’s annual deep dive recap of your listening activity over the year.

It covers both music and podcasts and is personalized to you and usually includes interactive elements like polls and quizzes.
