If you're not up to speed, the Duke of Sussex Prince Harry has just published his first memoir titled Spare.

The novel is a tell all novel that highlights Harry's life growing up royal in Buckingham Palace, losing his mom Princess Diana, strained relationship with his dad after he remarried and everything that transpired after he took Meghan Markle as his wife.

And since it's announcement Prince Harry’s anticipated memoir Spare has been topping charts even before its set release date (10th January) making it among the biggest pre-order titles for high-street retailers.

The book is currently No 1 in the UK Amazon bestseller charts and has become so popular that most shops are selling it at half price since it went on pre-sale.

Spare has consistently been in the Amazon book bestsellers list since its publication date was announced last year. It currently occupies the No 1 slot in the overall bestsellers chart.

It’s also been selling well at fellow large retailler Waterstones, where John Cotterill, (Waterstones non-fiction category manager,) said it was “one of the biggest pre-order titles of the last decade for Waterstones”.

According to BBC following the books official release today, bookshops across London opened at midnight to meet demand for Prince Harry's memoir after it officially went on sale.

The 410 page memoir has been published around the world in 16 different languages.

So far Buckingham Palace and Kensington Palace have not responded.

Before the book dropped Harry went on an interview with ITV on Sunday where he defended writing the book.

"The level of planting and leanings from other members of the family means that, in my mind, they have written countless books, certainly millions of words have been dedicated to trying to trash my wife and myself to the point where I had to leave my country” the Duke of Sussex said.
