Eminem's stunt double Ryan Shepard has been confirmed dead after a fatal road accident.

The famous rapper's doppelganger who is best known for standing in for the rap legend at the MTV Movie Awards (he showed up as Eminem's superhero character, Rap Boy), on tour and in a music video was mowed down by a truck while crossing the road.

His death was confirmed by his brother Kyle who told TMZ that Ryan had passed away while at a hospital in Washington at the end of January after getting hit by an oncoming pickup truck.

Emergency respondents rushed him to a hospital, but it was too late. The family opted to keep the crippling loss under hush until after Ryan was laid to rest.

Ryan worked not only as Eminem's stunt double but also as his photo double and stand-in.

Throughout their partnership, Ryan took the stage with the rapper for his 2002 Anger Management Tour, and on his Japan and Europe tour the following year (2003).

He also appeared in D12's "Purple Hills" music video as Eminem's double.

After putting his doppelganger days in the past (guess Eminem felt confident enough to show up as himself to events) the late Ryan according to Kyle, went on to work as a ride mechanical engineer at Disney before moving on to Elon Musk's SpaceX as a test automation engineer.

Kyle didn't divulge any more information surrounding his brother's death or burial.

The late 40-year-old Ryan leaves behind his 2 children, a 7-year-old and an 11-year-old.

Once news of his death hit the airwaves netizens mused over how Ryan had done an amazing job as most didn't even know that Eminem had a stunt double.

Twitter users also remarked on how Ryan gave off a strong Eminem vibe.
