Move over Kylie Jenner, Selena Gomez just reclaimed her title as the Instagram queen.
The award winning musician/artist is currently the most followed female on Instagram with over 382 million followers on the social media app. Kylie who is a beauty mogul follows closely with 380 million followers.
Before Kylie stole the title from Selena back in 2018/2019, Selena was still the most followed female celebrity. However, the "Only Murderers in the Building" star went on a long social media break to focus on her mental health.
Selena made her big comeback just last month and she is already raking in numbers, good numbers.
While announcing her return she teased her followers as she posted several mirror selfie photos and captioned the post, "Wait can you tell I’m back on Instagram ?"
The post attracted over 6.4 million likes and over 39 thousand comments as fans and friends shared their delight in having the actress back on the app.
Irronically, her win comes amidst some social media drama between her fans and Kylie Jenner's fans on TikTok.
This all came about after a fan on TikTok speculated that the 25-year-old reality TV star was throwing subliminal shade at Selena on the app after Kylie shared a screenshot of her on Facetime with Hailey seemingly mocking Miss. Gomez.
The "Come & Get it" singer shared a video on TikTok telling fans she accidentally laminated her brows too much.
Just a few hours later Kylie Jenner poceeded to post a photo on her Instagram Story of herself with the caption "this was an accident ?????" Big issue? The words were placed over her eyebrows.
"The Kardashians" star also shared a picture of her on FaceTime with Hailey Bieber that prominently featured their eyebrows.
Following the drama, the 30-year-old announced that she was taking a social media break over what she terms as, "being too old for this drama."
The ,ost followed male celebrity on Instagram is football player Christiano Ronaldo with over 551 million followers.
