Head of State William Ruto has said Azimio leader Raila Odinga should face him and stop disturbing innocent Kenyans.
Speaking on Friday, Ruto said that he was the one he was competing against and not ordinary Kenyans.
The president stated that if he at all Raila has a problem, he should take it up directly with him.
"Tuheshimiane. Stop the arrogance. I am the one you ran against, if you have an issue come face me, stop disturbing ordinary people," Ruto said.
The head of state also called on the opposition leader to give him time to work for the people as he promised during campaigns.
"Huyo jamaa anipatie nafasi nipange mambo ya wakenya, nipange barabara, mambo ya housing, mambo ya kuzalisha chakula awache kunisumbua na maandamano," Ruto added.
This loosely translates to, "That guy should let me work for Kenyans. I want to make plans for roads, housing and food production. He should stop disturbing me with protests."
On Monday, Raila and his allies led anti-government protests in Nairobi.
They, later on, announced that the protests will now be held twice every week, Monday and Thursday.
