For the first time in many years, Artist Rayvanny from the Next Level Music label has dethroned his former boss Diamond Platnumz from the first place in the charts of Tanzania's most viewed artists of the month.
For a long time, Diamond has been leading the music charts every month in the East African region, even when he has not released new music.
According to Charts Tanzania, Rayvanny has become the first artist to succeed in removing Diamond from the top of the charts with a bang and emerged as the most-viewed artist on YouTube in the last month of April.
"It has been more than many years that Diamond Platnumz has been leading the list of the most viewed Tanzanian musicians on YouTube for every term except April 2023.
The President of Next Level @Rayvanny has managed to break that record and become No. 1 of the most viewed Tanzanian musicians on YouTube in April 2023," Charts Tz congratulated Chui.
In that list, Rayvanny was viewed 40 million times on YouTube while his former boss Diamond came second with 35 million views.
Harmonize came third with 22 million views and Zuchu rounded out the top four with 12 million viewers in April alone.
Once again, artist Rose Muhando remained the only one from the gospel genre who made it to the top ten list, holding the eighth position with 5.9 million views in the month of April.
