Interior CS Kithure Kindiki has weighed in on the jail sentences that await controversial preacher Paul Mackenzie.

Kindiki said that Mackenzie's crime amounts to a lifetime sentence in jail.

Speaking on Sunday during a Church Service, the CS said Mackenzie will never get out of jail.

"Mackenzie will not get out of jail, he will age in there. We pray that God gives him more years to see Kenya's security prosper. He will not get out of jail... Mackenzie will meet the wrath of God after jail," he said.

Kindiki said that even if the court sets Mackenzie free, he will still be returned to prison.

He faulted the Judiciary for releasing criminals in the name of respecting the Constitution.

Mackenzie of Good News International Church is accused of brainwashing his followers to starve to death in order to meet Jesus.

The CS said Mackenzie has killed more people than terrorists in ten years.

He added that police will narrow down to a suspect and not based on religion.

"That one suspect in Shakahola has killed more people than those killed by Al- Shabaab in Kenya in the last 10 years. At Garrisa University, 148 people were killed and the Dusit attack claimed 21 lives," he said.

The third phase of the exhumation exercise in Shakahola forest, Kilifi County is set to resume on Monday, June 5.

Kindiki said the process had taken a two-week break to allow pathologists to conduct post-mortem examinations on the 129 bodies that had been exhumed.

“We have lost many people and exhumed 242 bodies so far, of people who were starved to death, hit with blunt and sharp objects or strangled,” he said.

So far, 91 people including one who died in hospital have been rescued and 19 victims have already been reunited with their families.
