Multi-award-winning musician, actress, and model turned fashion and beauty mogul Robyn Rihanna Fenty will be stepping down as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of her multi-billion dollar company Savage X Fenty.
Riri has spearheaded the company since she founded it back in 2018. The brand has been a massive success for Riri, helping launch her into billionaire status in 2021, along with her other brands including the makeup line Fenty Beauty.
According to a report from Vogue Business, the new mom is letting go of the reigns of being a boss babe and focusing on being a mother as she and fiancé Asap Rocky excitedly await their second child.
As she prepares to take a step back from CEO duties, the record-breaking artist appointed former Anthropologie Group CEO Hillary Super as CEO of the lingerie company.
Effective June 26th, Hillary Super will be taking over the CEO duties of Savage X Fenty, while Rihanna, who still remains as CEO of her cosmetic brand; Fenty Beauty, will serve as an Executive Chair in a leadership position of the lingerie franchise.
“It’s been beautiful to see our vision for Savage X Fenty impact the industry at such an incredible magnitude over the last five years,” Rihanna said in an official statement to Vogue.
She went on to add;
“This is just the beginning for us, and we’re going to continue to expand in ways that always connect with the consumer. I’m so grateful and excited to welcome Hillary Super as our new CEO. She is a strong leader and is focused on taking the business to an even higher level.”
Riri who is a mother to a one-year-old baby boy, whom she shares with her partner iconic rapper/musician and model Asap Rocky, is currently expecting their second child.
She has in the past shared some of her motherhood woes as well as reinforced how hands-on of a mom she wants to be. Thus the move of her letting go of some of her work roles doesn't come as a surprise.
