When she claimed to have spent a staggering Ksh 420,000 on a gift for her baby father, well-known Kenyan artist Samidoh, nominated senator Karen Nyamu made headlines on Father's Day.

Samidoh recently disclosed that he never received the pricey drink and regarded it as a social media prank, so it appears that the lavish gesture has taken a different direction.

In response, Nyamu revealed that she did not mention Samidoh when making the purchase, leaving it unclear as to who would actually receive the extravagant present.

After becoming aware of Samidoh's answer, Karen Nyamu addressed the issue on social media.

She explained that when she bought the wine, she never mentioned Samidoh, implying that the intended recipient might have been anyone from her father to her two other baby dads.

Nyamu made a point of saying that she has a dad and two baby daddies, maybe hinting that Samidoh wasn't the only recipient of her lavish Father's Day gift.

In a now-viral video, Karen Nyamu was seen gleefully asking for the priciest booze available as she entered a liquor store to celebrate Father's Day.

She bought a bottle of Remy Martin's 700ml Louis XIII cognac after joking playfully that the Ksh 420,000 cognac she ultimately decided on was akin to purchasing a Toyota Vitz.

In an apparent attempt to dissuade any skeptics, Nyamu proudly posted the receipt of her purchase on Instagram.

Fans were shocked and confused by the Father's Day present after seeing Samidoh's most recent social media post, though.

A fan enquired as to whether the pricey booze Nyamu had given him after the artist uploaded a picture of himself carrying a half-full beer jar.

Samidoh's retort mockingly dismissed the notion, calling the rumours going around on social media "vipindiree" (fabrications), and cautioning against taking them too seriously.

He also added ironically that it would be simple to deceive him into accepting lies.

Samidoh and Karen Nyamu's contradictory remarks have caused their supporters to become increasingly confused and speculative.

Samidoh laughed it off, but Nyamu's reply suggests that there might be more to the tale than meets the eye.

Fans are keen to learn more about this intriguing episode as the identity of the genuine receiver of the expensive Father's Day gift is still unclear.

Many people are left wondering how Samidoh and Karen Nyamu's relationship works as social media continues to be buzzing with talks about the "clout-driven act."

The couple, who are parents to two kids, has experienced its fair share of controversy in the past.

These incidents, nevertheless, have broken up their otherwise seeming smooth sailing and give their love story a sense of intrigue and speculative suspense.
