Displeased Bahati explains why Bongo and Naija artists are topping Kenyan charts

Captioning it, he went on to note that he wasn't calling out other artists out of any malicious game but sorely out of his love for the industry.

Kenyan controversial artist Kelvin Kioko popularly known as Bahati has expressed his immense displeasure with Nigerian and Tanzanian artists topping charts in Kenya.

On his page the father of 5 shared a few screenshots of the current trending songs in Kenya as well as Boomplay's top 10 best songs of June 2023 where evidently only one Kenyan song had made it to the list dominated by Tanzanian artists.

Bahati's post read, "Dear fellow Kenyan musicians....,"

Captioning it, he went on to note that he wasn't calling out other artists out of any malicious game but sorely out of his love for the industry.

"Nimeona ni post usiku Eric Omondi asione hii sahii anashugulikia Mtoto 🀰 πŸ™ˆ But I thought I should share My Thoughts & Opinion and it's out of nothing but Love ❀️," started out the former gospel artist.

He went on to add;

"Wasanii Wenzangu Wa Kenya... We might try to ignore this but Tumeacha Jirani analala Hadi Na Bibi Zetu...  From YouTube, Boomplay, itunes to Our Radio & TVs...

Number #1 to #10 Trending ni Tanzania I almost thought I was in Dar salaam πŸ™†β€β™‚️ It's not that I have Anything against TZ or Nigeria in fact Chibu and King Kiba are My undeniable Brothers but we need to pick a Lesson from thissss ...

This is the Time for Kenyan Musicians to Stop thinking you Can make it alone and Simply Come Together..." Bahati cried.

The 'Adhiambo' hit maker went on to call out the disunity and lack of brotherhood in the Kenyan industry maintaining that it wasn't a one man show and no artist could carry the industry on their shoulders.

"NO SOLO  KENYAN ARTIST CAN TAKE OUR SOUND GLOBAL ON  THEIR OWN THAT'S A FACT! We need to Work Together as a team or else we will keep Curtain Raising for our Neighbours..." Bahati advised.

The father of 5 made it clear that his rant was not a way of trying to look for guys to collaborate with as his wife was already a talented singer and if he needed a collab, they could always make a song together.

"Look at What they're Doing! They're  Coming Together and through their Unity they're Taking Over Home & Away! (Don't get me wrong sio Collabo Naitisha nikitaka Collabo nitaimba na #Diana_B Juu ata Sahii Sina Competition 🀣🀣🀣)"

Finishing up Bahati went on to highlight all the great things out country is known for while reminding fellow artists how they ought to be the home of entertainment;

"On a Serious note WE AGREE KENYA IS THE HEART & HOME OF AFRICAN ENTERTAINMENT,  KENYA HAS THE BEST MUSICIANS, KENYA IS THE LEADER OF OUR REGION FROM POLITICS TO MARATHON AND ECONOMY.....

FELLOW MUSICIANS LET'S COME TOGETHER IF WE WANT TO GAIN BACK OUR LEADERSHIP & RESPECT IN AFRICAN MUSIC. IF WE COME TOGETHER OUR FANS WILL COME TOGETHER AND SUPPORT USπŸ™
