Social media influencer Amber Ray has gone on a rant calling out 2 waitresses who ambushed her asking for a tip.
In a series of videos shared on her Instagram stories Amber expressed her displeasure with the whole interaction adding that even when she used to be in the same line of work she never bombarded customers with demands for tips.
"Hey, what's up my good people. So today I have a question for you guys because there is something that happened to me on Saturday.
I went to a place and as I was enjoying myself, some two girls came up to me and after saying hey asked for a tip, they were like 'Amber si tupee tip', " started off the mother of 2
"I was so offended!" Added the socialite.
She went on to highlight why she felt the girls' behaviour was so off the rack.
"Mimi I don't like someone asking me for tips, I was seriously so offended. Just do your job, do your service and if your service has impressed me I will tip you.
I'm the kind of person who if the service is good then I willingly tip. Like guys I'll tip even more... I know you are supposed to tip 10% of what you've spent na mimi I'm the kind of person who doesn't mind tipping.
Just take care of me," the social media influencer ranted.
Amber went on to add that what baffled her the most was the fact that the 2 girls who were asking her for tips were not even serving her and had an air of entitlement.
The mother of 2 highlighted that at first, she was going to do so but she didn't have money with her so she told them she'd heard their request and asked the waitresses to wait for her man, Kennedy Rapudo to come back and then she'd sort them out later on.
"My hubby had gone to the washroom. I told them wacha mzee arudi nitamuomba alafu nitawapea.
Immediately my man came back they came running and just stood there looking at me and I was so offended. I looked at them and I was like yeah I still remember I'll sort you out.
30 minutes later wamerudi and they are like we are almost leaving and whatnot, mind you these girls weren't even serving us!" Amber Ray lamented.
The new mom went on to narrate how the said girls kept on pestering her to the extent of asking another client to talk to Amber on their behalf. A move that pushed the influencer off the roof.
"In my head, I was like do you guys realize that it's not a must I tip you? I've been in the service industry na najua vile tips huokolea but you don't have to police me around!
I was so tired and so mad! Tips are earned first of all, after taking care of your clients na ni kitu inapaswa kutoka kwa roho ya mtu. I decided to ignore them because I was so mad and I didn't want to talk to them.
Mind you after all this, they decided to send a client who was next to my table," an agitated Amber narrated, the negative feelings she expressed days ago starting to show.
"That story totally pissed me off, it nearly ruined my night but I decided not to let it and wacha tu niendelee kujienjoy, I don't get why you'd ask for tips wacha service yako ikutetee.
