Philanthropic author and clinical psychology extern Lilly Jay is finally breaking the silence following blog posts going wild with news of her estranged husband Hollywood actor Ethan Slater's and pop icon Ariana Grande dating.
Speaking to the American entertainment blog TMZ, Lily revealed that her sole focus at the moment was her son as she tried to figure out everything else.
Lily added that she was watching the stories in horror although she refrained from giving further details or clarify why her and Ethan were getting a divorce.
"I'm focused on my son and doing my best to navigate a spotlight I have never wanted or experienced before," Lily said.
According to the publication the mother on 1 went on to add that the whole experience was a nightmare for her.
"I'm watching with horror as stories are published speaking to my experience," the writer revealed sadly.
Finishing up, as expected, she asked the public to extend her the gracious human courtesy of privacy as she's never been in the limelight, doesn't like being there and wants to work on rebuilding her life.
"I am asking for privacy and respect as an individual who is not in the entertainment industry and as a mom.
I ask to be left alone to rebuild my life and raise the beautiful boy I gave birth to last year," Lily said.
According to another American publication, Page Six, they reported that Lilly told them, Ariana is not a girl's girl. “[Ariana’s] the story really. Not a girl’s girl. My family is just collateral damage.”
Lily's husband Ethan filed for divorce last week on Wednesday (19th July) looking to put an end to their 4-year marriage.
The couple were in a relationship for 10 years before tying the knot in 2018. Last year, they welcomed a baby boy.
Ariana on her part also filed for divorce from her husband Dalton Gomez after just two years of marriage.
Last week news broke that the “God Is A Woman” hit maker and the 27-year-old real estate broker have been separated since January and are heading toward divorce.
Ethan and Ari have been trying to keep things low-key as they both work to finalize their divorce cases as well as build on their newfound relationship.
