At one point in life, one has had eye bags. Eye bags are a common thing and you shouldn't be ashamed of them since they can be easily removed.

 

Eye bags are mild swelling or puffiness that appear under the eyes. They can be formed by very many things such as genetics, eating high-salt food, eczema, allergies, sun exposure and ageing.

You don't have to worry since there are many ways one can reduce the appearance of eyebags at home.

1) Using a cold compressor.

Cooling the area lessens inflammation and swelling by reducing blood flow. You can place anything cold, such as an ice pack, frozen bag of vegetables, chilled cucumber slices or refrigerated spoons, over closed eyes for a few minutes. 

2) Getting quality sleep.

Sleep is a vital element in every human being, without proper and adequate sleep a person can't be able to function properly or do their daily activities easily.

If you don't get enough sleep, eye bags will naturally appear to show that you didn't sleep. For an adult, it is important for one to sleep for at least 8 hours every night.

Getting quality sleep will reduce the appearance of eye bags.

3) Using tea bags.

Other than being used to make tea, tea bags can also be used to reduce the appearance of eye bags. Tea bags contain caffeine that helps protect against UV rays and slows down the ageing process.

How to use tea bags.

   

Soak the tea bags in hot water for about two minutes then remove it and freeze for at least a minute so as to cool it. Squeeze the tea bag to remove any liquid then place it on top of your eyes for 10-15 minutes.

 

 4) Cut back on salty foods.

Eating a lot of salt food may contribute to eye bags. Eating foods that have too much salt in them affects your body's fluid retention and can make you puff. other than affecting your body's fluid retention taking large quantities of salt causes heart disease and stroke.

One should try and consume little amounggts of salt for a healthier life and no under bags 

6) Stay hydrated.

More than 50% of people don't drink enough water. Staying dehydrated can cause inflammation to appear under your eyes. It is important to drink 6-12 glasses of water daily.  Staying hydrated doesn't only reduce the appearance of eye bags it also helps moisturize the skin.

7) Stay elevated while you sleep.

Try elevating your head with extra pillows while you sleep. Using two or more pillows or a wedge pillow should do the trick. Elevating your head helps to prevent fluid from pooling in your lower eyelids and creating puffiness while you sleep.

8) Eating more collagen-rich foods.

As one gets older the muscles under their eyes begin to weaken making the under-eye skin sag. Increasing your vitamin C intake helps your body to absorb more hyaluronic acid which is an essential acid that is stored in the body but it decreases with age.

Foods rich in vitamin C and amino acids can also help with collagen production by boosting your levels of hyaluronic acid, creating healthier skin. Such foods include oranges.
