The death of a 59-year-old man who passed away after seeing his alleged lover, 23, is being looked into by Kitengela police.

The two have been dating one other for three years, according to a police report.

"Today, her boyfriend aged 59 years came to visit her at a rental house.  The girlfriend prepared meat stew and ugali which they took for lunch," the police report said.

"After taking lunch, the deceased requested that they proceed to the bedroom. Around 4 pm the man suddenly lost consciousness, prompting the woman to lay him beside her."

The woman allegedly then reported the incident to the Kitengela police station, according to the police report.

The woman then asked for help from one of the deceased's acquaintances.
