CAS Charles Njagua Kanyi popularly known as Jaguar is gushing over veteran artist Jua Cali and the impact he has had on him in his musical journey as an artist.
Doting over the veteran music, Jaguar took to his socials and shared a picture of him hanging out with Jua Cali. The two appeared in high spirits with Jua Cali smiling broadly.
Captioning the post the former Starehe MP opened up on how he used to break down every time he curtain raised for Jua Cali because he felt small as an artist. Jaguar highlighted how he viewed the 'Kiasi' hit maker as his biggest competitor and genuinely wanted to get to the level that the father of 3 was at.
"This guy made me work hard to put out good music!" Started off the CAS recounting his former days.
He went on to add that the journey wasn't easy but him and his producer did not give up, ensuring they climbed heights to the level he aspired. Jaguar maintained he used to release hit songs in a bid to someday get to and perhaps surpass Jua Cali's level.
"My producer pushed me to my limits to create hit songs to top charts like him. & the journey was not easy. I cried at his concerts because I kept being the opening act for my competition," wrote the '1 Centre Away' crooner.
Finishing up Jaguar soaked up the moment highlighting he'd reached his goal and was super proud of the fact that now he could get to bask in glory at the top alongside his competitor. In his own words, "rivals to allies, top of the game."
Replying to Jaguar's post, Jua Cali commented writing, "This is what competition is all about inspiring each other and taking our craft to the next level. 🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿"
