Following reports that the producer Jibril Blessing abused her, Judith Nyambura Mwangi, well known as Avril, has asked her social media followers to forgive him.

The mother of one stated she has forgiven the well-known video producer in a lengthy Instagram story post, adding that everyone in this life deserves forgiveness.

"My heart is so heavy that I had to tell my world my business, I forgive you J, please find it in your heart to forgive him too," he said. 

 

She admitted that there had been difficulties in their seven years of dating, adding that there had even been arguments that turned physical.

"We recognise the need for change and are committed to seeking help and learning healthier ways to communicate and resolve issues," she added. 

"Our mutual goal is to create a more positive and supportive environment for each other fostering understanding and growth." 

 

The singer went on to say that she is a private person and would never discuss something that is bothering her, even if it is torturing her.

"Yes I saw the radicules about me deserving of everything I have gone through in my lifetime and I am sure there will be more ridicule. But I also saw the outpouring messages of love and support," she continued.

Avril clarified in a follow-up post that she is not using her posts to gain popularity or win people over.

"This is just me being human and deeply understanding that everyone is deserving of humanity, especially in these times where we should all be kind to one another regardless of whether you receive kindness or not."

Avril had uploaded a photo of herself early on Tuesday morning, sporting a bandage over her face and bruises, with the message, "J blessing nikome.

Social media was ablaze with people denouncing the alleged abuse and offering the singer support. The producer has not yet made a remark regarding the same.
