Nigerian woman Helen Williams, who hails from Lagos, has secured her place in the Guinness World Records for making the world's longest handmade wig.

The announcement was made via a tweet by Guinness World Records on Tuesday, November 14.

According to official information from Guinness World Records, Helen's incredible creation measures 351.28 meters (1,152 ft 5 in), earning her the coveted title.

According to the GWR report, Helen spent 11 days and invested more than 378,562 Kenyan shillings equivalent to $2,493 dollars in bringing her vision to life.

The painstaking process involved building the base of the wig with the netting of a wig cap and black fabric, delicately attached to a bicycle helmet.

Afterward, Helen completed the hair piece using 1,000 hair bundles, 12 cans of hairspray, 35 tubes of hair glue, and 6,250 stunning hair clips.
