Reggae-ton star Daddy Yankee

Celebrated Reggae ton artist Daddy Yankeee has finally given his life to Christ.

Yankee is well known for the song 'Gasolina'

Sharing his experience, the rapper dubbed this the beginning of a new chapter.

 

Taking to his socials he shared a video of what prompted his decision to get saved saying.

"This day for me, is the most important day in my life.. tonight I recognize and am not ashamed to tell the whole world that Christ lives in me and that I will live for him. This is the end of one chapter and the beginning of a brand new one.“

Adding:

 

"I want to share it with you because living a life of success is not the same as living a life with purpose,” he explained, as translated by NBC News. “I have to confess that those days are over. Someone was able to fill that emptiness.”

Her further went on to quote

"For what good is it for a man to gain the whole world, if he loses his life? Or how much can a man pay for his life? For the Son of Man will come in the glory of his Father and with his angels, and then he will reward each one according to what he has done. ”St. Matthew 16: 26 - 27 Amen ❤️"

Yankee currently has a following of 49 million on Instagram.

He announced the news of his retirement from music at the final concert of his farewell tour at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico on December 3.

 He will be moving forward publicly as his birth name, Ramón Ayala. While he previously announced his retirement, he did not mention his faith influenced the decision.
