The 2023 KCSE results were announced by the Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) on Monday.

Candidates will not be able to obtain the 2023 KCSE results via SMS code, in contrast to last year.

"Individual 2023 KCSE candidates' examination results will be accessed online through a link on the KNEC website or directly through the URL: www.results.knec.ac.ke," a statement from KNEC read in part.

The Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu would promptly make the results available.

Exam centres where applicants took their exams will have access to official result slips.

Ezekiel Machogu, the cabinet secretary for education, briefed President William Ruto at State Lodge Elodoret early in the morning before revealing the outcomes.

Exams were administered to at least 903,260 candidates between October 23, 2023, and November 20, 2023.

Machogu declared last year that the Ministry of Education was considering doing away with the usage of SMS services for checking the results of national examinations.

This came about as a result of mistakes seen in the 2023 Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) exam release.
