On social media, followers of a popular figure often pose targeted questions aimed at embarrassing them with the intention of gaining popularity.
Very few respond to such questions, but recently, celebrities have embraced the practice of giving cheeky responses to silence online trolls.
This is exactly what happened when a prominent figure in the Senate, who is also a senator from Kakamega, Boni Khalwale, responded to a user on platform X seeking intimate details about his family.
Khalwale uploaded two pictures enjoying time with his grandchild on platform X, mentioning that Nairobi is very cold, and his grandchild visited to spend the weekend together.
"It's a very cold evening in Nairobi. My grandson, Austin Shindinshi Khalwale, has been here for the weekend. What a joy to be together!" Khalwale wrote.
While some were intrigued by the name of his grandson – Shindinshi – one user deliberately decided to taunt Khalwale by asking how many wives he lives with in Nairobi.
Khalwale, not one to back down by responding that he himself couldn't answer that, but he could provide the number of his wife living with him in Nairobi so that the user could find out directly from the person involved how many wives Khalwale has.
"How many wives do you stay within Nairobi, sir?" @jedyke asked.
"I can give you her number; you can ask her yourself," Khalwale replied, sparking laughter from some people.
Some cheered Khalwale for the response, while others teased him that he shouldn't be that sharp with his followers.
