An investigation is underway after the body of a man, missing his left palm, was discovered in Ng'ong River in Nairobi, blocked by twigs in the Kayole area, as reported by the police.

The locals found the body on Sunday morning in the Kianda area and promptly informed the authorities.

Upon examination, the police noted the absence of the left palm from the wrist, and the victim remains unidentified.

The body has been taken to the mortuary for identification and autopsy. Law enforcement suspects that the man might have been murdered elsewhere, and his body was later disposed of in the river.

No arrests have been made, and an ongoing investigation into the murder is reported.

In a separate incident in Athi River, Machakos County, the body of a 32-year-old man, Dickson Mokaya Nyakundi, was recovered from a river in the Mto Mawe area.

Herders in the vicinity observed the body floating in the river and promptly alerted the police.

The deceased, employed at a local factory, met an unclear fate, and the circumstances surrounding his death remain unknown.

The body has been transferred to Shalom Hospital mortuary, awaiting a postmortem examination to provide more details on the incident.

It is yet to be determined if he was deliberately killed and disposed of or if the death was accidental, possibly due to drowning.
