Fans online started a furious war this morning after the Recording Academy/ Grammy Award mistakenly tweeted that Nicki Minaj and Ice Spice's 'Barbie World' won Best Rap Song.

The reason fans went HAM on X was that the Grammy's had actually made a monumental blunder.

It transpired that 'Barbie World' hadn't won the category but instead Killer Mike's 'Scientists and Engineers' took the accolade.

But what was interesting is that fans attacked Nicki for the mistake stating that it was karma.

But why would they attack the 'Good Form' rapper receive bile yet she hadn't made the mistake?

Don't worry, Kiss got you covered.

Nicki and Megan Thee Stallion have recently been beefing and as such their fans have decided to back them in that war by attacking each other online.

So now the comment section attacking Nicki makes a lot of sense as one can understand the motivation behind such bile.

Why this Grammy miss might sting for Nicki is that she has been nominated for 12 Grammys since 2011 but has never once won an award.

This will sting as Nicki has had numerous number 1 songs and albums over the years while some other artists who can't match her global reach and appeal are multiple winners.

This snub will probably increase the animus that the curvy rapper has towards the Academy.

In November 2022, the musician hit out at the world's most popular music awards for putting her hit single Super Freaky Girl in a category where it has "less of a chance to win".

Speaking on Instagram, she said the song had been moved to the pop category to clear the path "to give newer artists things that they really don't deserve" in the rap field.
