Former American broadcaster Wendy Williams is seen downing an entire bottle of vodka, in the documentary " Where is Wendy Williams?"

The drinking was a big issue in the show, with her manager expressing concern that he didn't know how to get her off the bottle.

In the documentary, it is clear Wendy is well down the road of cognitive decline which is the self-reported experience of worsening or more frequent confusion or memory loss.

The show chronicles the progression of the disease with her driver talking about what he saw as Wendy lost her ability to function.

A judge created a guardianship over Wendy's finances, although the documents are sealed.

The Lifetime show " Where is Wendy Williams?" was filmed from August 2022 to April 2023 and highlights her struggles.

The show highlights the effects of the disease, showing erratic behavior and frequent outbursts at her staff.

Heartbreakingly there were moments when Wendy was aware she was dealing with an illness that was beyond her control and felt hopeless.

The 59-year-old has recently been diagnosed with aphasia and dementia same condition as Bruce Willis.

Over the past few years, questions have been raised about her ability to process information. 

When Wendy began to lose words, act erratically at times, and have difficulty understanding financial transactions, many speculated about her condition.

To correct inaccurate and hurtful rumors about her health, Wendy's care team announced her diagnosis last week.

"As Wendy's fans are aware, in the past she has been open with the public about her medical struggles with Graves' Disease and Lymphedema as well as other significant challenges related to her health". the statement read.

Wendy Williams show's DJ Boof said staff in the studio didn't understand the extent of Wendy's illness and he thinks her family members are the only ones who can help her.

Kevin Hunter Jr Wendy's son, in the lifetime documentary, shared that doctors believe her condition is related to alcohol addiction.

" So, I think they said it was alcohol-induced dementia," Kevin disclosed.
