Nigerian Grammy-nominated artist Davido has mocked Canadian rapper Drake Aubrey following Drake's massive loss in a bet he had placed against boxers Anthony Joshua and Francis Ngannou in their much-hyped heavyweight showdown in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The Hollywood sensation had bet $615,000 on the match with hopes that his man of choice Francis Ngannou would win the fight.

Unfortunately, the universe had other plans as Francis lost to Anthony in a brutal and impactful knockout that led to Francis Ngannou requiring immediate medical attention, in just two rounds.

The knockout saw the 'God's Plan' hitmaker lose over Sh.88.7 million!

Days before the much-anticipated fight, on his Instagram page the father of 2 had taken to his Instagram page to showcase the massive amount of money that he had placed on Ngannou, highlighting his confidence in the “scary man," as he referred to him in the social media post announcing his stake.

If Ngannou had carried the match and Drake's bet on the "scary man" clicked, he was expected to have walked away with a cash pay-out of $1.9million .

The rapper is known foe his love for betting, usually placing high stakes in his bets despite the rumoured "Drake's curse" that netizens think he possesses. Fans have accused him of leading to athletes losses whenever he takes pics with them before a match.

In January, 2024 he lost over half-a-million pounds when he backed Sean Strickland to defend his UFC middleweight championship against Dricus Du Plessis.

Drake's said ‘curse’ has struck a few notable athletes such as quarterback Johny Manziel, UFC fighter Kamaru Usman, Tennis star Serena Williams, and even the entire Kentucky Wildcats Basketball team in the United States.

However, it is not all losses in camp Aubrey. Back in 2023 he won $1.3million after he placed a bet on YouTuber turned boxer, Logan Paul in his match against Conor McGregor’s training partner Dillon Danis in their Misfits Boxing fight.
