Jose Chameleone has confirmed that fans will be charged admission in dollars at his upcoming music concert in August.

General admission will be $100 (approximately Sh 13,230); VIP tickets will be sold for $300 (Sh. 39,700), while tables or VVIP will be priced at $3000 (Sh 396,970).

Chameleone, in a television interview in Uganda, defended this pricing scheme, stating that it befits his name and his contributions to the music industry.

"We want this to be a celebration for me and what I have done for the industry," he told BBS TV.

"There are people out there who believe that I should be celebrated while I am still alive .... That night, I will celebrate myself as well because the foundation I have laid in the industry deserves celebration."

Chameleone says the show will be unique and worth the admission fee.

"We deserve that and more, and beyond that, we are trying to bring an international standard and give celebrants the best experience."

The boss of Leone Island will turn 45 next month.

He said about five years later he expects another major festival, this time celebrating his age and the time he has spent in the music industry.

However, he does not see himself quitting music in the future.
