Digital content creator and budding gospel musician Muchiri Mike has offered an update following his scary arbitrary arrest.

Taking his X account Muchiri shared a proof of life photo standing outside the Kasarani Police Station waiting area where he went on to assure his over 48.6k fanbase of his wellbeing.

"I have a multitude of lawyers with me. I am ok," the Kuza Awards content creator simply wrote.


Muchiri had earlier on gone into panic mode after unidentified police trailed him from town and stopped him along Thika Road instructing him to drive to Kasarani Police Station without any probable cause.

"Please guys amplify on Twitter, they have told me niingie Kasarani Station but I feel like I am being targeted because I have been followed. Wamekuwa wakinifuata kutoka nitoke tao... wamenisimamisha hapa...." the artist could be heard saying shakingly before his live feed was disrupted. 

He also Tweeted; “They are arresting me at Kasarani!" Causing uproar among netizens with the hashtag #FreeMikeMuchiri trending within minutes.


Muchiri has been very vocal in the call for government accountability, and better management of taxpayers' funds and was among the X bigwigs and content creators pushing for the #Reject Finance Bill protests.
