Kenyan dancehall star and businessman KRG the Don recently announced that he will be taking a break from the entertainment industry to fully focus on his business ventures.

He shared the news with his fans in a social media post.

"I’m taking a long break from the entertainment business!!! I wanna put my energy and time into other responsibilities and business activities… To all my fans, I will miss you but I’ll still be around..." he said.

"I have a lot of work to do and need to concentrate on more important businesses for now. I’ll return to music once I have a billion dollars in my account. My kids need advanced education as well, so I need to plan for the future."

In addition to KRG the Don, here are some other notable figures who have taken breaks from their careers:

Lupita Nyong'o:
