Njeri Mwangi, wife of the prominent Kenyan activist Boniface Mwangi, has finally issued a statement on social media following the concern raised about her husband's condition.

In a Monday morning post, the mother of three apologized for being unavailable by phone while people were trying to reach them to check on their well-being.

She also expressed her gratitude for the love and support her family has received during the past few frightening days.

“POL🙏🏾 Friends and family, sorry for the unanswered calls and messages. Please forgive me and be patient with me. We feel your pure love and support pouring in. We appreciate it all. Thank you,” Njeri wrote on Twitter.

This comes as Kenyans on social media continue to express their concern about the activist Boniface Mwangi's condition.

A few days ago, the activist closed all his social media accounts, which have a very large following. This came shortly after he posted a worrying message about the act of self-deletion.

"There is nothing selfish about self-deleting. Someone reaches a point in life, and decides this is it for them. They are ready for the next world. The pain, troubles, and expectations of others in this world are too much. They leave the stage. Celebrate their life. End of the story," Boni wrote on Facebook last week before disappearing online.

He attached his post with a photo of himself.

This move sparked significant online conversation, with many expressing their concern about his well-being.

Fellow activist Hanifa Farsafi later confirmed that she had seen him and that he was okay.
